how to knit a stitch: in, around, through, off

in - insert your needle in the front of the stitch, approaching from the left side

around - bring the yarn around the tip of your needle, wrapping from back to front

through - bring the tip of your righthand needle under the lefthand needle and through the little hole

off - slide the newly formed stitch off the lefthand needle
